Warning: do not use Vistaprint

I ordered something from Vistaprint on 10/12/09 that I wanted to arrive before Christmas Day and so ordered it using their 14 day delivery guarantee which meant it would arrive on or before 24/12/09. As it had not arrived I checked the status online and found that it said it would be delivered on 26/12/09, which is of course after Christmas Day. Now you might say that I should have ordered earlier and/or chosen a quicker delivery option, which is of course true. However it was the fact that Vistaprint staff repeatedly lied to me when I stated that I had ordered on 10/12/09, claiming I had ordered on 12/12/09 and therefore 26/12/09 was correct for a 14 day delivery guarantee. In the end I copied their own confirmation email to them dated 10/12/09 and this was their nonsensical response:

‘Dear :

Thanks for contacting Vistaprint, where it’s easy to make an impression for less.

The Vistaprint order confirmation that you included in your email does state that the order was placed on December 10, 2009 and stated that you have chosen the Standard 14 days.

However this is also shown on the Order History Page which also confirms the said details but it specified that the order will arrive on or before December 26, 2009. In this case we do understand that it is passed the 14 days but because of the Holiday Rush the order was set back to another day which is the 26 of December and the date is shown on our website after the order was placed.

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused. Feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions or concerns.

So basically ‘ok you caught us out lying, but we can do what we like and we have your money, so up yours’. So if you like being treated like an idiot and being lied to then Vistaprint is ideal for you, otherwise use one of the other numerous printing services around.

    i’ve been with vistaprint several years and like all printing companies you know you have maybe 1 or 2 disappointments but that doesn’t stop me from ordering from them. I sincerely dont believe the agent did this to you and if she did why not ask for a supervisor, i hate it when people bash companies like this, they have always been so kind and was always able to assist.

    And do you know what I hate? People who don’t think others should be allowed their opinion. Freedom of speech might have been eroded by Bush and Cheyney but last time I checked we still have the right to it.
